    In order to provide the best experience for you, and in accordance with, i.e., Law of Republic Indonesia No. 27 the Year 2022 Concerning Personal Data Protection and other applicable laws and regulations related to personal data protection, PT Populix Informasi Teknologi (hereinafter “Populix” or “we”) is hereby committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. For this reason, Populix determines this Privacy Policy to protect all personal data that we collect or has been sent to us, whether offline or online, including personal information collected or transmitted through our site at populix.co (“Website”), Poplite platform, Populix mobile application (Media), or via e-mail that we send to you.

    By accessing or using Our Website, you acknowledge that each of your data is true and valid. You have agreed to and accepted the practices set out in this Privacy Policy and agree to comply with the Populix Terms and Conditions.

    Please read the following policies carefully to understand how and why we collect, store, share and use your personal data. We will also explain your rights when you share your personal data with us.

      • All information is provided when you contact us by telephone or customer service;
      • Records of your correspondence (if any) with us;
      • Details of the transactions you make through the Website; and
      • Track your visits to the Website, including, but not limited to, traffic data, location data, weblogs, and other communication data.
      • Your GPS location when you participate in a study.

      1.  IP Address

        We may collect information about your computer, including but not limited to your IP address, operating system, and browser type. We do this for the benefit of our system administration and statistical analysis. For this purpose, we only collect statistical data connected to your browsing actions and patterns as a user; and will not identify any information regarding you individually.

        We may also obtain information about your general internet usage by using Cookies for the same reason.

        When you use the Application or visit our Website, certain information may be collected automatically by using Cookies. Cookies are small files that are stored on your computer’s hardware. Cookies help us to improve the website and provide a better and more personalized service to each user.

            • User_id: This Cookie is essential so that our website can operate optimally. This Cookie allows us to synchronize your login status in one section of the forum on the website with another section.
            • Session: This Cookie allows us to remember your details during your visit to the website.
            • Authautologin: These Cookies are functional Cookies that automatically enter the user when their “session” has expired. This allows you to leave the website and return to the same browsing session.
            • Google Analytics: This is a Cookie for analytics/performance. The website uses Google Analytics to help analyze how users use the website and collects standard internet log information and visitor behavior information in an anonymous form which means the identity of the user will not be identified. This information is sent to Google and processed to compile statistical reports of activity on the website. This report allows us to optimize our user experience.         4.     GPS Location Tracking

          If required or mandatory by the study, You agree to activate the GPS in your mobile phone or other devices. The GPS activation is to make sure that you are located in the location as required by the study and that you fit the respondent’s location criteria. We will not be able to track you outside the moment you participate in a study. 

    3. Approval

      For all acquisition, collection, processing, analysis, storage, appearance, announcement, delivery, dissemination, access opening, or destruction of information as stated in points 2.1 and 2.2, we will ask for your consent as stipulated in our Terms and Conditions.

  4. Where we store your personal information​

    All information that you provide to us is stored encrypted on our servers.

    Every payment transaction on the website will be encrypted using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology.

    In order to maintain the safety of your privacy, the SSL system that we use is a verified system that can create an encrypted link between the user’s browser session and the webserver of our website. SSL is the industry standard for secure web communications and is used to protect millions of online transactions.

    Except as our Privacy Policy provides, we guarantee that we will not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties nor share your personal information with third-party advertisers without your consent.

    1. We may only disclose your personal information to third parties in the event that:
      • Parties who use our Service to do their research, whether through the Website and/or Media or not. The kind of personal information we disclose is only your basic demography that is non-identifiable personal information;
      • Parties who assist us in running the Website and Media, solely for the purpose of running the Website and/or Media;
      • Parties that carry out transactions completed through the Website and/or Media, these third parties including but not limited to Stripe and PayPal (Our payment processing service providers);
      • We or most of our assets are acquired by a third party, in which case the personal data that has been held about our customers will be one of the assets transferred to the third party that acquires us;
      • We are under an obligation to disclose or share your personal data to comply with any legal obligations upon a lawful request from law enforcement officials or to enforce our Terms and Conditions or other agreements as regulated in applicable laws and regulations in the Republic of Indonesia.
    2. In the event that there is a transfer of personal data by us to a third party located outside the territory of the Republic of Indonesia, we will:
      • Coordinate with the Indonesian Minister of Communication and Information Technology or officials/institutions authorized to do so by reporting the implementation plan for sending personal data, which at least contains the destination country, the name of the recipient, the date of implementation, and the reason/purpose of the delivery; ask for advocacy (if needed); as well as reporting the results of the implementation and;
      • Implementing the provisions of laws and regulations regarding the exchange of personal data across national borders.
  7. Your rights

    Your rights to the personal data that you provide to us are as follows:

    • The right to the confidentiality of personal data;
    • The right to submit a complaint in the context of resolving personal data disputes over the failure to protect the confidentiality of personal data by Populix to the Minister of Communication and Information Technology of the Republic of Indonesia;
    • The right to withdraw your consent related to the collection, use, and/or disclosure of your personal data that we have, including the right to stop using, access services, and/or close an account on our website with due observance of applicable laws and regulations in the Republic of Indonesia. Revocation of your consent could mean that we will not be able to continue providing the services to you, and we may have to terminate the relationship with you and/or the contract you entered into with us.
    • The right to access or the opportunity to change or update your personal data without disturbing our personal data management system, unless otherwise stipulated by the prevailing laws and regulations in the Republic of Indonesia;
      • If you have an account on our website, you can access and/or correct your personal data that we currently have or control through the Account Settings page on the website.
      • If you do not have an account on our website, you can request to access and/or correct your personal data that we currently have or control by sending us a written request. We will need sufficient information from you to confirm your identity and the nature of your request for us to handle your request. Therefore, please submit your request in writing by sending us an e-mail at support@populix.co.
    • The right to access or opportunity to obtain your historical personal data that has been submitted to us as long as it is still in accordance with the applicable regulations and laws in the Republic of Indonesia.
      We may charge you a reasonable fee to handle and process your request to access your personal data. If we choose to charge fees, we will provide you with an estimate of the fees to be charged in writing. Please note that we are not obliged to respond to or manage your access request unless you have agreed to pay the fees.
    • The right to request the destruction of your certain personal data in the electronic system managed by Populix unless otherwise stipulated by the prevailing laws and regulations in the Republic of Indonesia.
    • The right to have your personal data deleted if any of the following occurs:
      • personal data is no longer needed for personal data processing purposes;
      • You have withdrawn your consent to process personal data;
      • Upon your request; or
      • When personal data was unlawfully obtained and/or processed.
        You can request for the deletion of your personal data that we currently have or control by sending us a written request. We will need sufficient information from you to confirm your identity and the nature of your request for us to handle your request. Therefore, please submit your request in writing by sending us an e-mail at support@populix.co.
    • The right to delete your account.
      • To delete your account in Populix mobile application, you can click option delete account within the change personal data in your account setting.
      • To delete your account on our Website or Poplite, you can request to delete your account by sending us a written request. We will need sufficient information from you to confirm your identity and the nature of your request for us to handle your request. Therefore, please submit your request in writing by sending us an e-mail at support@populix.co.
  8. Retention Period

    We will retain your Personal Data for the necessary period to fulfill the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy and in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations in the Republic of Indonesia.

  9. Our Connection with The EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

    As long as this Privacy Policy is still valid and we have not stated otherwise, the management of personal data on our Website and Media does not refer to or is subject to the GDPR. Any data that we manage is data of Indonesian residents or citizens, resulting no obligations for us to comply with the GDPR.

    We will update our Privacy Policy, in line with the development of any relevant laws and regulations, and the development of our business.
