Amidst the ongoing Israeli aggression in Palestine, global consumers are being drawn into the fight through boycotts and other forms of protest. The decades-long humanitarian violations have garnered increased attention for a long-standing movement known as Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS). The call for a boycott is also issued by The Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) in Fatwa No. 83, addressing the Law on Support for the Palestinian Struggle. In this study, we aim to capture and analyze the public’s response to the fatwa, providing insights into the evolving sentiments within society on this critical issue.
