Mandalika Education University was originally called IKIP Mataram, founded on April 1 1967 with the blessing of Panca Tunggal West Nusa Tenggara (now the Provincial Government). Then followed up with the establishment of the Mataram Teacher Training and Education Institute Trustees Foundation with Deed of Establishment Number: 6 dated 13 July 1968, which then changed the number and date, namely Number: 62 21 May 1968.
